Dave & Ron & Family supporting Dave at Millville, NJ June 7th, 2009

Dave and Ron Sanders traveled to Summit Point WV. May 15 to 17th on a two mile, 10 turn road course for the years first SCCA National Event. Dave races a 2003 Z-06 Corvette

In the first qualifying scission Dave placed 5th, but 3 1/2 seconds off the pole sitter. In the second qualifying scission he moved up to 3rd but within a tenth of a second of the leaders.

In Sundays race he started 3rd but was shuffled back to 5th. He worked his way forward in the 22 lap race and

was right on the rear bumper of the leader and passed him when he slid off the track into the trees on the next to last lap giving him the win.

P.S. The driver of the car that crashed was Bob Kahn who flies in from Los Vages to run this series.
